House elects Abadula speaker, re-elects Shitaye deputy speaker
(ENA) – The House of Peoples’ Representatives (HPR) has elected at the opening of its 4th tenure first regular session here on Monday Abadula Gemeda as Speaker and re-elected Shitaye Minale as Deputy Speaker of the House for the coming five years with majority vote.Abadula has served in public office both in federal and state level and has MA degree in Public Administration. He also served as the Chief of the Oromia State for the past five consecutive years.Shitaye has also served as deputy speaker of the HPR for the last five years and has MA degree in Education.
